PGCPS Campuses Closed March 31 - April 4 for Spring Break

While Prince George County Public Schools may be closed this week in observance of the division's Spring Break, feel free to review our calendar and other news and information in the meantime. PGCPS schools and offices will reopen on Monday, April 7, 2025.

Chronic Absenteeism rates drops an average of four percent when compared to 2023-24 School Year, thanks to support from the community and schools to engage with students and families about the importance of regular school attendance.

On Tuesday, March 18, 2025, the Prince George School Board welcomed dozens of Prince George County Public Schools students, coaches, and advisors to a special celebration recognizing their achievements over the last several months.

'Waldameer Mystery Files' Author David Gorman Hosts Book Signing, Meet-and-Greet Experience for South Elementary School Students

The event tied in closely with the nationally recognized Read Across America Week, as well as South Elementary School's extremely popular annual read-a-thon reading celebration, while giving students an opportunity to chat with the author of a book series they're currently reading.
