South Elementary School Home

On Wednesday, June 10, 2026, the Prince George School Board welcomed several Prince George County Public Schools students, coaches, and advisors to a special celebration recognizing their achievements over the last several months.

Donations of school supplies are being accepted through Tuesday, August 11. These school supplies will be organized by volunteers and used to fill backpacks that will be available for children and families during each school’s pre-opening orientation session later this summer!

Combining for over 500 years of service to the children of Prince George County, nearly two dozen soon-to-be retirees were celebrated with hugs and some tears during the division's annual Royal Recognition Reception at Prince George High School.

District honored as one of America's "Best Communities for Music Education," by the NAMM Foundation, the charitable arm of the National Association of Music Merchants, the global trade association for the music products industry.
