PGCPS Schools, Offices Closed Through Friday, July 4 In Observance of Independence Day Holiday

July 1, 2025

In observance of Independence Day, all PGCPS schools and administrative offices will be closed from Wednesday, July 2, 2025, through Friday, July 4, 2025.

All campuses and offices will reopen on Monday, July 7 at our summer hours, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday.

While our offices are closed, we encourage families and parents to take a few moments to prepare for the upcoming school year:

  • Review and update your contact information in ParentVUE to ensure you receive important updates and notifications this coming school year. To access ParentVUE, click HERE.
  • Review the 2025–2026 School Year calendar to stay informed about key dates, holiday observances, report card distributions, and more. For more information, click HERE.
  • Learn more about our annual school supply drive, including how you can support local students by donating supplies that will be used to fill backpacks available for FREE to students during August's orientation sess. To learn more, click HERE.

Finally, with warm temperatures expected throughout the July 4th weekend, we encourage everyone to stay safe in the summer heat. Be mindful of sun exposure, stay hydrated, and look out for signs of heat-related illness. We’ve posted helpful summer safety tips on our website you can review and share by clicking HERE.

We wish everyone a safe and enjoyable Independence Day weekend!

Sincerely,

Prince George County Public Schools
